Merry Fishmas December fishing report Puerto Vallarta

The December fishng in Puerto Vallarta has been great with lots of fish, whales and fanstic weather. The water temp has drooped to a whopping 78 deg. And the fishing can’t be any better. The offshore action is producing so large cow tunas at islands. The tuna action at Corebtena is still holding it’s on. There have been many days early morning bite has been crazy. The afternoon bite is great as well for the folks that want to do one of the longer trips here in Puerto Vallarta. There have been a few wahoo showing up with the tuna and this is good news for all that are taking the trips out to one of the better places that we fish here. The banco has had about the same water temp. as the Corbetena and still catching blue and black marlin. Fast speed lures are one of the best bets fishing for these larger fish. The live bait trolled slow is still probably the most widely used for the catch these huge marlin.

The bay fishing has not changed much since last month. There are still some sailfish, mahi mahi and other small game in the bay. The snapper, Spanish mackerel and bonita are hot action fish we are catching. Still one of the best tips is a 6 hrs trip mixed in with some whale watching here in Puerto Vallarta.

The med range trips such as 8 hrs for sailfish, dordos and other large game fish has been getting better The El Morro and the old Light house know as El Farro has to be two of the best spots in December. The fish always hang around these two favorites spots. Ya may not catch tuna but sailfish, wahoo and dorados are abundant during the full moon and afterward.

The Christmas season is up on us and just wat to take a chance to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Hope to see yall out on the water fish
