Winter angling way down yonder on the Chattahoochee RiverJanuary 19, 2018
The Lake Lanier elevation is 5ft below pool which means water flows are ideal this winter. Recent cold weather has triggered a threadfin shad kill which will be spewing from Buford Dam making the trout feed voraciously on white and silver streamer patterns. BWO May Fly, Little Winter Stonefly and midge hatches are strong attracting fish to the surface during mid day. It’s going to be a productive winter season and although we have had snow looks like sunny into the 60’s this weekend!
