Fall SmorgasbordOctober 17, 2018
Fall is that magical time of the year when large schools of mullet and menhaden flood the inshore waters of South East Florida and found along beaches and inside Biscayne Bay in Miami. With the lack of annual storms we have had consistent weather for finding tarpon, bonefish, permit and mutton snapper.
Recently the evening fishing in the Fort Lauderdale area has provided consistent fishing for snook and tarpon of all sizes. Keith Kloss found this 20lb snook while drifting large live mullet along channel edges.
Biscayne Bay provided steady action on a cloudy day for the Boscia's with 2 permit and 2 bonefish coming boatside. Marine Artist Mark Johnson sight fished 2 feisty bonefish and had shots at permit. While live chumming channels yours truly was able to find plenty on mangrove and mutton snappers using menhaden flat-lined behind the boat.
