Join us for the 5th Annual Palometa Club Permit Tourney!
While the week has been full for months, cancellations have opened a few spots for this season’s tourney week, March 31 – April 7, 2017.

Grab a fishing partner/teammate and join us. Our Annual Permit Tournament held each spring has raised more than $22,000 in donations for the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust’s Jon Ain Memorial Fund. Our tournament is a laid back and fun competition that is supported by numerous fly fishing industry sponsors including Patagonia, Hatch, Country Pleasures, Temple Fork Outfitters, Howler Brothers, Flood Tide, The Venturing Angler, Winston, Costa, Fishpond, YETI, and many more.

A special shout out to our headliner sponsor, Hatch Outdoors. All our sponsors donate duffel bags of clothing and gear to all tourney participants and to our guide staff, and Hatch steps up to the plate each year with a half dozen 7+ and 9+ Fanatic Reels for our winners. All sponsors provide loads of giveaways and swag, adding to the fun.

Seven two-angler teams compete in four competitive permit fishing days during the week, and an individual “biggest fish” category is in play all six days. Proceeds from the tournament and donations will benefit the Jon Ain Memorial Fund for the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust as well as the schoolchildren of Punta Allen.

We've been having an incredible start to the 2017 season. There have been big permit landed, many permit landed, and even a couple of grand slams!

Snook are definitely worth the effort of poling around the mangroves and oftentimes on the flats, with multiple 20+ pound trophies landed each season. Snook fishing can be an absolute blast, and quite reliable when conditions are right. When they are in the mood, Snook will usually eat about anything you chunk at them – making poppers and other surface flies a favorite style of presentation.
