This story, at its heart, is really about big, wild Alaskan rainbows, a remarkable fish that is fast, strong, ravenous and beautiful. #onlyatRKL
With its distinctive sailfish-like dorsal fin, the grayling is perhaps the most striking of Alaskan game fish. Found in lakes, small streams, and big rivers. Peak fishing for Grayling is June through August. Most grayling average 8-14 inches and about 1 lb, but fish up to 24 inches and 4 lbs have been recorded.

Whether it’s Monster Kings, tackle busting Sockeye, huge Rainbows or even doormat size Halibut, Rainbow King will get you to the fish. We provide individuals a truly unique fishing experience in the wild environments of Alaska. #onlyatRKL

Learn about one of only five freshwater seal populations in the world.
We keep several skiffs at Calypso Bay for those that might want to spend a day fishing for Halibut. Calypso is relatively shallow by halibut standards, so huge weights and strong currents are not a problem. It is a short flight from the lodge and we have all the needed tackle for a day at Calypso Bay.
