Range: from Mercury Islands to Mayor Island

Period: year round

'Double Vision' departs from Whitianga Marina in the Coromandel. Targeting Mercury Bay and the Mercury Islands, the most popular fishing charters are one day Snapper fishing charters in and around the abundant Coromandel Peninsula and Mercury Islands. A little further afield is Great Barrier Island, a fishing Mecca for Snapper, Kingfish, and Trevally. As the sea temperature drops, winter in the Coromandel brings Kingfish and Hapuka, along with decent-sized Snapper.

Unparalleled flexibility makes Ramsey Fishing Charters the ideal choice for corporate fishing charters and group fishing charters. Prices from $1600-2000.

Snag a Seat and head out beyond Mercury Bay, departing from Whitianga, on a full day's game fishing charter targeting Marlin.

Snapper fishing has been hit-and-miss over the last week for many anglers around Whitianga. Find out where's not and where's not from ace angler Mavis Bryant.
The fishing is hotting up as Summer edges closer! There's plenty of good fishing to be had right now with some very nice #Snapper around plus plenty of #Kingfish hitting those jigs. The fishing around the Coro will be strong right through to Christmas so get your mates together, plan your trip and book with us now!
The southern end of Great Mercury Island is still fishing well for Snapper with best results at the change of light - both morning and night. The puddle between the Merc and mainland, and also out off Kuaotunu beach, is producing very nice Snapper when using soft baits.
The Cuvier Pins are fishing well for Kingfish and currently they are more inclined to take jigs over live bait. There are some nice Snapper, John Dory and Puka being caught on livies, too. Not a bad bi-catch when the kingfish aren't hitting your lines.
