If you were wondering when the best time to go fishing is, now's the time. Hit up my website at texashawgs.com and book your trip. Here's a few good ones from this past Sunday, March 6th from Lake LBJ. Caught some around beds and grass lines with senkos and frogs. Good times...
There's some good fishing right now in the central Texas area. Here's a picture of a client holding up a great Lake Decker catch. We're catching anywhere from 1.5 to 3 dozen from 3-5 lbs with some bigger ones mixed in. If you want that fish of a lifetime, Lake Falcon is about to explode. I've got plenty of dates right now and for the upcoming springtime for all of central and south Texas. I've got the 4th and 5th of April on Lake Falcon available as of now for that giant bass you're looking for. Check out my website at texashawgs.com for pricing and to book your trip today.
Happy New Year from Texas Hawgs! It's another new year and time to book your fishing adventures. The big girls will be on the chew getting ready for the spawn coming up. Lake LBJ is fishing good right now. Lake Bastrop and Fayette will be getting going as well. Lake Falcon has been fishing awesome lately and will only get better so book your multiple day trips now for your chance at a fish of a lifetime.
On an 8 hour trip on Lake Bastrop, here's #117! Great day on the water. Book today...
Catchin' 'em up on Lake Falcon. Here's Quintin's new PB at 6 lbs. We also had a 5 and several 2-3 pounders with a bunch of small ones totalling 31 bass. We had one about 10 pounds jump off so we'll start on that spot tomorrow. Good times...
Took out a 90 year old WWII vet on Lake Travis the other day. Dude can hold his own fishing. Had a great time and when I asked him in the middle of an every cast catching fish episode, he said he was in 7th heaven. We caught 38 that day with a mix of whites, guadalupes and largemouth. Thank you for your service sir!
Lake Travis is fishing very well right now. Hit it yesterday with some clients and got into them pretty quick. We mainly fished shallow ledges and backs of coves. We caught them on crankbaits, brush hogs, lizards and trick worms to start and then saw a point start blowing up so headed over there with shallow crankbaits and a wakebait and loaded the boat mainly with whites with a few largemouth mixed in and even a striper. Fast and furious and every cast for a while there. We then moved around that cove and caught a few more largemouth and then headed to the back of another cove and I hooked a lake record...long nose gar at 20.08 lbs. Time to go certify the scale and get it on the books. lol All in all we had a lot of fish, close to 80 with 6 different varieties of fish, largemouth, guadalupe bass, white, striper, gar and even 1 black crappie. That crappie was huge. Fun day on the lake. Let me know if you want to go. Book anytime.
