2/18 Great Codfishing Aboard the Island Current III…Snug Harbor, RI Captain Scott was very happy to report an excellent day of Rhode Island cod fishing. The weather today was absolutely beautiful allowing the boat to drift and hone in on large schools of feeding codfish. Lots and lots of limits were caught today. We will definitely be sailing the next few days as the boat will be leaving at 5 AM. The weather the next few days looks to be absolutely fantastic so come on out and bend the rods with some great winter codfishing in springtime weather.Reservations are a MUST! Wednesday, Tough Day of Winter Codfishing…Island Current III 2/15
Capt. Scott called into report a slow pick of Codfishing today. We had a great group of experienced anglers from Falmouth, MA who stayed at the rail all day and fished hard. We tried several areas but to know avail. Steamed further offshore and saw some pollock, cod, and ling. The forecast for Saturday, Sunday and Monday look AMAZING!

There is no trip Thursday due to the gale forecasted and Friday the boat is SOLD OUT.

Saturday, 2/11 Snowy Cod Aboard ISLAND CURRENT III…Snug Harbor, RICapt. Scott called into report a solid day of Codfishing for those hearty enough to stay at the rail.

We stayed at the anchor all day, cracked plenty of fresh skimmers, and managed to put a worthy catch together. Hi-hook was 9 by Vinny from City Island.

Tuesday, 2/7 Codfish Limit Aboard ISLAND CURRENT III…Snug Harbor, RI The Island Current III had an early departure and was the first vessel to arrive on the grounds. It did not take captain Scotty long to hone in on the fish. Once the vessel was securely anchored and the skimmers started cracking the fish were chewing. Needless to say it was LIGHTS OUT FISHING!

Everyone on board were limited out and we arrived home early at around 10:45 am with a good crowd of anglers all with smiling faces.
As mentioned in previous reports RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST! We had several customers who did not make a reservation and were left at the dock because they didn’t receive to early departure schedule.
We have been into great fishing and the month of February is shaping up wonderfully. Our next sailing date is this Thursday, February 9, 2017. BOOK TICKETS ONLINE AT
