Tipping your mate is usually 15%-20% of your daily trip. The Longer Days mate works diligently to make your fishing experience a success. They begin setting up the tackle for your trip the night before, and assist you throughout your charter.

When your arrive back at the dock, you may have your catch cleaned, which is typically charged per pound by the Fish Cleaners at Teach's Lair Marina.

13 October 2018 Fishing Report.
It was the first day for anyone to go fishing since Hurricane Michael came through the area. Even though it had downgraded to a Tropical Storm by the time it hit here it still brought plenty of power and damage with it. While the southern end of Hatteras Island got lucky and only dealt with minor soundside flooding our neighbors to the north were not so lucky. The Tri-Villages on the upper end of Hatteras Island and further north in Kitty Hawk and in Roanoke Island saw very significant flooding. Many families will be cleaning up for quite some time up there. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those people who lost loved ones in the direct path of that monster storm as it came onshore in Florida and worked it’s way up the East Coast. The footage from down there is just devastating.
We did not find any blue water on Saturday, but we did get on a edge that went to a pretty green. It was holding a lot of life that should have meant more bites than we got. We did manage to hold on to 8 Tuna; 3 Yellowfin and 5 Blackfin. Everybody did a great job in some choppy conditions.
