Tipping your mate is usually 15%-20% of your daily trip. The Longer Days mate works diligently to make your fishing experience a success. They begin setting up the tackle for your trip the night before, and assist you throughout your charter.

When your arrive back at the dock, you may have your catch cleaned, which is typically charged per pound by the Fish Cleaners at Teach's Lair Marina.

18 February 2018 Fishing Report.
Giant Bluefin Tuna fishing is a little like Marlin fishing, spend a lot of time pulling baits for that one bite. Well, we never got that bite. We did get our butts kicked by a particularly brutal ocean though.
We did end up catching a nice Wahoo in some pretty green water in the shallows. It was a really nice one, went 54lbs.
After working back down the beach, it was time to pull up early and take a slow wet ride home.
There were some fish caught the next day just a few miles up the beach from where we fished Sunday. The Blackfins were snapping Monday down on the rocks, there were even a few yellowfin mixed in with them.
Even the mullet were trying to get warm in the sun.
Buxton harbor, where we pull the boat out on a yearly basis.
Pretty sure if palm trees could talk, these would be screaming. Luckily they’re fairly cold hardy. They’ve been through cold weather before since we planted them 7 years ago, but not this low and for this long. Time will tell how they’ll come through this, or not.
