San Francisco, CA

One of America's best cities has some of America's best fishing.

Have you ever thought about what it would be like reel in a gigantic Chinook salmon or sturgeon with the Golden Gate Bridge as the background? We have, and that’s why we’ve listed so many outfitters in the San Francisco area. Fishing is good year round here, and there is a multitude of different species to target. You can go out to sea to chase salmon and sturgeon, or you can stay close to shore and cast to tasty rockfish and lingcod.

Many of San Francisco’s fishing charters are based out of the iconic Fisherman’s Wharf and have been for generations. The Wharf is teeming with reminders of the old San Francisco, but what better way to get in touch with the Jack London days of old than to head out on the water and catch some dinner!

Whether you’re a corporate group, a family, or just looking to get away for day, a fishing trip in the Bay Area might be exactly what you need.
