Hit the beach with my daughter Chloe last weekend to try for some striped bass and bluefish. She managed to hook up four times and finally landed one slammer blue.
This weekend I fished the Delaware Bay beaches. The weather was less than stellar, but I managed one nice 39" striper.
Things are picking up here in Cape May County! You can get my full reports on my Brynnie-B Inshore Fishing Facebook page.
I have been having poor luck lately. There have been some nice sized striped bass and drumfish running along the shore of the Delaware Bay lately. They have been hitting on clam. There hasn't been any rhyme or reason as to when or where they may show up though. Normally you'll see patterns form, but not so this year. It's a hot bite one morning and then a night bite at a completely different place two days later. I've been working an area for two nights with nothing but one good strike to show for my efforts. It'll get better though. Very soon.
